My primary training was in Psychiatric Nursing and I have worked in the field of health, care and well-being for 29 years. My emphasis has been on natural ways to support people in finding relief from pain, trauma, illness and distress. I completed Craniosacral practitioner training in 2014 with Franklyn Sills of the Karuna Institute. I am a member of The Craniosacral Therapy Assocation and subject to their strict code of conduct and CPD requirements, and I participate in ongoing clinical supervision. I spent several years in a Buddhist monastery, volunteering as a head cook to provide healthy and nourishing food for a community of 25-70 people, and developing a meditation and mindfulness practice which continues to enhance and inform my personal and professional life.
I love walking, gardening, qigong, painting, poetry and cooking. I have sailed a 38foot ketch in the Mediterranean and Black Sea, and in the rivers of Romania and the Ukraine, but these days I prefer to have both feet on the ground!!
